Jonna's childhood
The first borne of the Kosonen family was born on September 1977. When Jonna was four years old her little sister Laura was born. At the same time Jonna started to play violin and to dance ballet. She played violin a few years and she danced ballet about ten years. Jonna started ballet in a ballet school in Helsinki's Itäkeskus and soon went from there to ballet school Opera. She switched the dance school though as a 14-year-old and soon after that she quit. In high school Jonna took an interest in cheerleading, which she quit because of Nylon Beat.
She went to school in Vartiokylä. She graduated from high school in 1996, in the beginning of Nylon Beat.


Nylon Beat 1995-2003
On 7th grade Jonna and Erin Koivisto became best friends, and when they were in high school, 1995, they decided to take part to television's song contest named Kiitorata. From the contest Jonna and Erin got a record deal and the huge rise of Nylon Beat into a Finnish pop Hall of Fame began. Nylon Beat has always separated opinions but especially in the beginning people had a hard time to accept or take the "in nose singing" pop's little squirrels seriously. Not until a real band came into the picture one started to realize that Jonna and Erin really can sing and does it live - the band became more respected. After eight years of Nylon Beat Jonna and Erin decided to separate and go to find some new challenges. The succesfull Nylon Beat was buried on New Years Eve 2003-2004.


Jonna starts her solo career
Jonna's solo carieer started strongly when she took part of Eurovision song contest's Finland's semifinals. She didn't make it to the finals in Turkey but she rocked her way into Finnish people's hearts on her song Like Believers Do.

In spring Jonna was still seen on stage with Erin, when the revú Blaa Blaa Blaa was shown in Show restaurant Maestro in Helsinki, all the way to April. Jonna doesn't want her to be called as Jonna K. anymore, 'cause it was just for Eurovision song contest. Now Jonna has her own band called The Johnson playing rock. The band threw its first gig in May in a charity concert Kiitoksen Paikka. Jonna's rest of the year was busy 'cause the musical Saturday Night Fever was shown in Linnanmäki's Peacock teathre during summer and all the way to October. After that the musical went on tour in Finland. Jonna has always dreamed of a musical role and this role of Annette was her dream come true.
In fall was also the premier of the last Uuno Turhapuro movie, in which Jonna is playing a nurse.

In winter Jonna's looks experienced pretty radical change when she dyed her hair dark. The color stayed only couple of months though and now Jonna is blond again.


Jonnas Problem - 2005
Now that Saturday Night Fever won't take Jonna's time is Jonnas Problem band's (ex The Johnson) turn. The band has been training and threw a couple of gigs but the record isn't out yet, though it's worth a wait!
In addition to Jonnas Problem Jonna has featured even on four different records!
